Turkish Gaziantep-based Bag Producer Completed Circular Economy with POLYSTAR Pelletizer
Durusan Plastik, a 45-year-old infamous bag producer from Gaziantep, Türkiye upgraded his recycling machine with POLYSTAR’s Repro-Flex. The cutter compactor integrated recycling machine, boosts the circular economy in bag producer’s factory. The plastic waste from the production is now recycled with Repro-Flex and reused in bag production. The high-quality excess pellets from the production also bring additional profits by selling to other producers.
In-house Plastic Recycling for Circular Economy
Müslüm Avcıl, the owner of Durusan Plastik, first witnessed the POLYSTAR recycling machine’s performance in another Istanbul-based bag producer’s factory. Then he decided to upgrade his old recycling machine with Repro-Flex 85 for recycling HDPE/LDPE bag cut-offs, film-on-rolls, defective film, and rejected bag products. Through this, the bag producer completed a circular economy within his bag production facility by producing highly reusable plastic pellets.

Advantages of Repro-Flex for the Film and Bag Producer
✔ Having a stable-working integrated cutter compactor on Repro-Flex allows the bag producer no need to waste time, labor, and factory space for pre-cutting film/bag wastes before feeding into the recycling machine. The cutter compactor does the job! It cuts, compacts the film and bag materials, and preheats them to better prepare for the extrusion step. Moreover, the automatic consistent feeding to the extruder by the cutter compactor has a positive effect on higher output.
