Installation in Guatemala for Post-Industrial Film Waste
In July, POLYSTAR mounted another integrated recycling line in Guatemala. The flexible packaging product provider is the leading producer in the country today.
The cutter-compactor recycling line is now processing PE (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, multi-layer PE, MPE) film and bags printed and unprinted, as well as cast PP and BOPP film waste.

Laminated Film
In addition to PE blown film and cast film waste, the recycling machine is also processing laminated film waste. Some examples of the two or three layers are:
- LDPE + LDPE
- BOPP + BOPP
- BOPP + LDPE
- BOPP + OPP
- PEBD + OPP
- LDPE + PET + BOPP
The post-industrial film waste is generated from different types of products: A wide range of sealed bags, cut shapes, pre-punched holes, and locking mechanisms such as zipper and sandwich-bag.
